Before Buying a Refit Mattress

To ensure a proper fit, its important to know your current mattress size, including the width, length and height of the mattress set.

Check your foundation or platform before your mattress arrives. A Refit Mattress likes a solid, firm foundation. A firm surface is essential for the getting the best combination of support, comfort and longevity for your mattress. If you can press down on your current foundation or boxspring and it moves, it is most likely not rigid enough to support your new mattress.
If you have a foundation, boxspring or platform with a full, queen or king size mattress, it is very important that you have center-support system under the mattress. This protects the integrity of the mattress and the foundation or boxspring.

While the size of the box is small (even with a king size), we recommend getting some assistance from a friend or family member to help move your mattress into position. It is also helpful to have assistance unboxing and setting up your mattress.

We recommend unboxing and decompressing your mattress within 30 days of receiving it.

Delivery & Returns

Depending on your location, it can take an average of 7-10 days to receive your mattress.

Typically you do not need to sign for your package unless you are located in an apartment or condominium complex. It is up to the discretion of the delivery driver to leave a package unattended, or possibly hold it for safe keeping until you are available to receive it.
Your new mattress will take time to adjust to your body and we encourage you to sleep on it for a minimum of 30 nights to allow for this adjustment period. If you’re truly unhappy with your mattress after 30 days of trying the Refit Mattress, we will take it back for FREE. The only thing we ask is that you apply the Refit Mattress Protection included in your purchase as soon as you receive the mattress to qualify for the 30-day sleep guarantee.

If for some reason your Refit mattress is not the right one for you, we will work with you to either return your mattress to Refit, or find a non-for-profit agency in your community that could find a new home for the mattress.

Sleeping on Your Refit Mattress

With any new mattress there is usually an adjustment period. This typically ranges from 1-3 weeks. The more drastic the change to the firmness of the mattress, the longer into this adjustment period it may take.
A new mattress will also settle in over time, meaning there is a break-in period. It typically takes about 20-30 days of sleeping on the mattress for the foam to adapt to its standard firmness and support level.
It is important to spin your Refit Mattress every 1-2 months. A regular rotation, and sleeping on different areas of the mattress can increase its comfort life and help you to enjoy it for many years to come.
The mattress protector is machine washable and should be only tumbled dry with no heat.
